"New Moon" is the best-selling book of 2009.

The Twihards have spoken: Edward and Jacob aren't just in demand on the big screen but in the bookstores as well.

All four of Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" books topped USA Today's best-selling books of 2009 list.

Which book was No. 1? "New Moon" of course! The film adaptation of the book was released in November 2009, but the "Twilight" fandemonium began way before the film came out.

It didn't hurt that Summit (and fans) began leaking pictures of a newly buff Taylor Lautner for months before the film hit theaters. Although the character Jacob was present in the first film, his character got ramped up for the second installment, and Lautner's came into his own as well. Now there's not just a Team Edward/Jacob debate, but a Team Robert Pattinson/ Team Taylor Lautner rivalry.

"Eclipse," the third book in the series was the No. 2 best-selling book, followed by "Twilight" (the first in the series) and "Breaking Dawn" (the final installment). source
