Obviously, this is a purely speculative exercise, but 12 months ago we wondered what the worst movie of 2009 would be (we guessed The Pink Panther 2 followed closely by Dragonball), and just a week ago we opened it up to your votes. It looks like The Informers is winning (or losing) that contest running away, with nearly 50% of the vote. And that's about right.
While there are a great many films to look forward to this year, there are quite a few that we'll all want to avoid. Some, like Jackie Chan's The Spy Next Door, look irredeemable in the trailers. Others, like The Wolfman and Green Hornet, have had such bad fortune even getting made that it could very easily show up on screen. And then there are just a lot of known quantities that make us shudder - A Katherine Heigl comedy (Life As We Know It), a Katherine Heigl action comedy (Killers with Ashton Kutcher), anything with Ice Cube (Lottery Ticket), a Miley Cyrus joint (The Last Song), and a sequel to one of the worst animated movies of the past decade (Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore).
Beyond those likely candidates, there are a few that might surprise you. They surprised me. Take, for example, Cop Out, the Kevin Smith-directed comedy starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan that used to be called A Couple of Dicks. The trailer is awful. Awful. Only Smith apologists - and there's about four million of them - can say they find anything entertaining about that worn-out concept with what looks to be worn-out actors going through the motions. And then there's the Robert Pattinson movie Remember Me, which I don't think I expected to look good, but man...I don't think without Edward Cullen this movie would've even been made.
We have 20 choices for you, and of course, some of these will be good in spite of appearances, but as it stands right now, I think any of these are in the running. And feel free to add one that we didn't include below in the comments section.VOTE HERE for the movie you think it won't be good (Keep in mind don't vote for Remember me)
WE HAVE TO SUPPORT REMEMBER ME SO DON'T VOTE FOR IT, BUT VOTE FOR THE MOVIE THAT YOU THINK IT WON'T BE GOOD
