“The Twilight Saga” star Robert Pattinson recently finished shooting the 1930’s love story “Water for Elephants” with Reese Witherspoon, but the handsome Brit says creating the onscreen passion between the two actors wasn’t necessarily as sexy as it seems.
“The love scene in [‘Water for Elephants’] was — I was doing it when I had a really bad cold,” Robert explained, in an interview for “MTV First: Robert Pattinson” posted on Saturday. “I’m not generally that awkward doing stuff, apart from when I’ve got my belly coming out, but my nose [was] running all over the place!
“Reese had this wig on and I was literally wiping my nose on her wig,” he continued. “We’d be doing this really passionate love scene and I had to be [wiping my nose]. It was so stupid!”
The 24–year-old star is known for making ladies all over the world swoon, but admits filming love scenes is still somewhat of a challenge.
“You’ve kind of got to really know what you’re doing,” Robert said. “If it’s just a sort of arbitrary love scene, its always quite difficult.
“The one on ‘Breaking Dawn’ is pretty funny,” he added, laughing.
