Reese Witherspoon talks about Rob with Australia’s "Daily Telegraph"!

Witherspoon admits her heart went out to Pattinson, who shot to fame playing brooding Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga, as he was relentlessly followed by legions of fans during their filming.

“The amount of attention Rob receives is just not normal. I’ve never seen anything like the fervour of his fans, and I’ve been around a lot of moviestars,” she says. “They’d line the streets and wait for 14 hours just to catch a glimpse of him. It’s crazy, but he handles it very well. We worked very long days, and even late at night, he’d stop his car as he left the set, wind down the window and sign autographs. It was lovely of him, and indicative of the kind of man he is.”

This is the second time the two stars have worked together. Somewhat ironically considering how youthful Witherspoon looks, Pattinson played her son in the 2004 film Vanity Fair, and the pair have been friends for years.

“He’s such a good guy,” the New Orleans native says in her gentle Southern drawl. “So lovely and intelligent. He’s just a well-raised, quiet Englishman.”
