Kristin Scott Thomas on Rob: "He is absolutely charming & delightful"!
Kristin Scott Thomas is firmly on Team Edward. Yes, she's starring now in a wrenching film about the Holocaust. But Thomas, 51, also shot the period drama Bel Ami with Twilight's Robert Pattinson and laughs when asked about his appeal. "Yes, I understand, I understand," she says with a cool chuckle.
Q: Tell me about working with Pattinson in Bel Ami.
A: (Laughs) He is absolutely charming and delightful, and he looks very good in a top hat.

Pattinson Likens Himself to Processed Meat
Speaking of brilliant Pattinson quotes, one of our favorites occurred when the heartthrob had to address appearing shirtless on camera.
"The thing I was most nervous about was taking my shirt off," Pattinson said of which scenes he was most anxious about.
"I don't want to get anyone's hopes up," Pattinson self-deprecatingly added, referring to what fans will see of his torso in the film and preview footage. "I look like an inflatable frankfurter in some of those [scenes]."

Watch the interview here at 11:20!
The trailer for Robert Pattinson’s film upcoming ‘Bel Ami’ has been released, in which the London born actor plays a young soldier in 1890s Paris.
Adapted from the the Guy de Maupassant novel, Pattinson stars alongside Irish actor Colm Meaney.
Meaney, originally from Dublin, spoke about Pattinson’s screaming fans in a Late Late show interview.
“In Budapest we were shooting and it was mad because...it really was like what you would imagine was Beatlemania was like,” Meaney said.
No matter where they filmed the Irish actor said there were “screaming girls everywhere” eager to see Pattinson.
“We were shooting way out past Heathrow in a big old country house and there were these two, not girls now, women, middle aged women, who for three days were camped at the gate house of this estate
“And they camped there for three days in miserable weather hoping to catch a glimpse of him,” Meaney recalled.

Ian Somerhalder on Rob: "I think he is a pretty sexy dude"!
Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon on the CW series "The Vampire Diaries," says Robert Pattinson, star of the "Twilight" films, is a "pretty sexy dude."
Somerhalder, 32, made his comments to OnTheRedCarpet.com at the recent Comic-Con International convention in San Diego, California (see video above - warning, contains questionable language).
"I don't think anybody can touch that guy," the actor said about Pattinson. "That guy has like 100 million 'Twilight' fans worldwide. I think he's a pretty sexy dude because about 100 million women say so."
Both "The Vampire Diaries" and the "Twilight" movies are based on books and the actors who portray their main characters have massive fan followings. The "Twilight" films have made more than $1.8 billion worldwide.
Pattinson, a 25-year-old British actor, plays the vampire Edward Cullen and reprises his role in the fourth installment, "Breaking Dawn," alongside Kristen Stewart, who plays his love interest, Bella Swan. The first part hits theaters on November 11.

Rob, Kristen & Bill Condon talk about this year's Comic-Con with EW!
Comic-Con’s Hall H held all the devoted fans (some who had been waiting to get in since Monday) it could pack in for Thursday’s Breaking Dawn panel. “You always forget just how huge it is,” said Robert Pattinson, a few hours later, relaxing with coffee alongside Kristen Stewart and director Bill Condon.
The highlight of the presentation had to be the screening of the never-before-seen footage of Bella and Edward’s honeymoon on Isle Esme. “I thought it went over really well,” said Condon. “I was hoping that the beats that they would kind of ‘Oooh’ and ‘Ahh’ over were the ones they would. It felt really good.” There certainly was plenty of both oooh-ing and ahh-ing (thanks to scenes of Stewart clad only in a white towel and Pattinson shirtless in the ocean by moonlight). And yet both actors agreed it was a calmer, gentler panel scene than during previous years at Comic-Con.
“The first time we did it,” says Pattinson of his first Comic-Con in 2008, “all the lights came up when everyone came in. And people just went insane. People didn’t stop screaming for ages — and that was before the movie even came out. It was a turning point. It was the first bit of promotional stuff — we’d done one Entertainment Weekly cover at that point, and that was it. And it was like the characters from the book had actually just walked out on stage.”
Stewart agreed. “It was the first real sign,” she said, that the movie versions of the beloved books might be a hit. Of that first appearance, “I think I was genuinely scared.” But this year, “everyone was so nice,” she said of the fans who attended the panel. Both actors and Condon mentioned they were impressed with fans’ thoughtfulness and respect given during the Q&A, and were thrilled to be able to show them the footage. “We had a discussion about it,” said Condon about the length of the clip. “I said, ‘Let’s not just do a little thing. Let’s really show them.’”

James Franco talks about Rob & 'Breaking Dawn' with Playboy Magazine!
Movie star James Franco is making an arthouse film tribute to the late actor- about Brad Renfro – at the upcoming Venice Biennale art festival in Italy, and he hopes the project will remind film fans of how great the tragic star was.
Playboy: Participating in the Venice Biennale is by invitation only and a big deal. What are the specifics of your project?
James FRANCO: It’s a huge project I’m incredibly honored and proud to be presenting. It’s based on Rebel Without a Cause, and some of the best contemporary artists alive—Paul McCarthy, Douglas Gordon, Ed Ruscha, Aaron Young, Damon McCarthy and Harmony Korine—worked on different sections. I wanted Robert Pattinson to be in the project, but when Harmony (Rebel’s director) contacted him and told him the concept, Rob said, “I don’t get the point,” so that was that.
PLAYBOY: Is it true you wanted to do a Twilight movie?
FRANCO: I had my agent tell [director] Bill Condon that I’d be happy to do anything in Breaking Dawn, but that was because it was supposed to be part of a multimedia project at Yale. I was working with a Yale undergraduate who had written an autobiographical play about putting on a theatrical production of Twilight in which I was a character. So I was interested in Twilight because I was going to be part of that play. I thought what a great connection it would be if I were also involved with the real Twilight.

Story behind the pic
My mom works at a private airport in Toronto where a lot of celebrities fly in and out of. She called me last night letting me know that a “Robert Douglas Pattinson, an actor from the UK” would be coming through the avitat today. After my telling her that it was probably my boyfriend Rob coming through, I told her that she better get a picture for me! She and her coworkers joked around over the phone a little bit – laughing at how I told them that Rob is the only person in the world that I am allowed to cheat on my real boyfriend with (he gets to sleep with Eva Mendez) and then my mom finally discovered that he would be flying out before she even got into work today. However, I got a call from my mom this afternoon and a picture from one of my mom’s coworkers eventually followed. This is a picture of Rob heading out of a private Toronto airport July 15/11.

VF Italy: Several humans in his book are not as smart or funny. In particular, she is highly critical of celebrity and the entertainment world. It is not that the contacts he had with the studios for the realization of how the Water for the Elephants have provided the inspiration in some way?
SG: Fortunately, the Hollywood that I knew him is very different from what I describe in books. More than anything I was referring to people like Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton, and the protagonists of reality. Instead Christoph and Reese (Waltz and Witherspoon) outside of work think especially to their families and Robert (Pattinson) I found him pleasant, open-minded ”
VF Italy: As well as he is overwhelmed by the attentions of his fans
SG: True. I was on set two days in the desert, 40 minutes from Los Angeles. It was summer, very hot and there was no way to find shelter in the shade. His fans arrived at 4 am, and even if the security held them off the set, They remained there until 10 pm. Hoping to see him only for a few minutes and from afar.
VF Italy: What did you think that he would be the protagonist (of WFE)
SG: I have never seen the Twilight saga I did not knew exactly what to expect realized how hard he worked and how it was concentrated on the character. Not even my children, being male were particularly impressed by him instead their girlfriends were. I have 4 copies of my book autographed by him but I will not give it to them until they are big enough not to give them to the first girl who requests them.

"He was calm and I was calm even when he looked into my eyes and said "HI". He was so sweet, gracious and soft-spoken. I asked him to sign my daughter's Twilight book. I didn't need anything for myself. My goal was to meet Rob with pictures. I had to spell Katarina about 3 times. He was giggling and repeated the letters as I was saying them. He concentrated so hard to get her name right." ElizabethMC
